Austin is a frozen dystopian hellscape. 40 hours of no power or heat, below freezing temperatures and the city has run out of food. No gas, no escape. It will continue snowing for the next 48 hours(!?!). No power in sight for most. We are now bartering and trading for supplies. It’s true. Nearly 72 hours now without power in 78723. Oh, let me correct myself- they gave us a little squirt for about 2 hrs today. We haven’t had power since 3 am Sunday. We are still in the dark with our food outside, in the snow. Using our vehicles as phone chargers. Fuck. Empire in decline, this further exposes America's weak public system and reveals the horror of having essential public services for Americans privatized.
